Nvidia has announced plans to launch its GeForce Now cloud gaming service in India, supported by an RTX 4080-powered data center. This announcement, made at CES 2025, highlights Nvidia’s renewed interest in the Indian gaming market. The launch will enable gamers to stream AAA games without needing expensive hardware, offering accessible and high-performance gaming solutions.
GeForce Now cloud gaming service details on membership tiers for the Indian market are yet to be revealed, the service is expected to offer various options for gamers. GeForce Now’s premium membership in other regions provides the shortest queue times, extended playtime, and high-quality streaming with support for 4K resolutions.

The Performance tier caters to gamers seeking resolutions of up to 1440p with frame rates capped at 60fps. For those looking to try out the service, a free, ad-supported tier is provide 1080p streaming at 60fps with a one-hour session limit.
Unlike in many other regions where Nvidia collaborates with local partners, the company will directly operate its Indian data center. This setup mirrors Nvidia’s approach in North America and Western Europe, highlighting the significance of the Indian market.
GeForce Now’s History and Revival in India
GeForce Now was briefly available in India in 2017 with a subscription price of ₹650 and a free trial for Shield device users. However, the service did not expand widely at the time. Nvidia’s renewed focus on India comes as competitors like Xbox Cloud Gaming remain unavailable in the country, while local alternatives such as OnePlay have gained traction.
Expanded Game Library and Device Support
Nvidia also announced the addition of new AAA titles to GeForce Now’s library, including Doom: The Dark Ages and Avowed, which will be available upon their PC launches this year. These titles join an already extensive library of over 2,100 games.
In addition, GeForce Now will soon be accessible on more devices, including the Steam Deck, Apple Vision Pro, Meta Quest 3/3S, and Pico devices, making the service even more versatile.

In addition to the GeForce Now updates, Nvidia introduced its next-generation GeForce RTX 5090 graphics card series, along with their mobile versions.
